Dr. Haya Ahmed Mohammed Al-Gharras, a distinguished Saudi scholar at the Faculty of Business Administration at Future Builders International Academy, the exclusive representative of the University of Maryland in several Arab countries, is preparing to defend her doctoral dissertation on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Her specialization focuses on Artificial Intelligence and Risk Management.
Her dissertation is titled:
“The Impact of Applying a Predictive System Based on Artificial Intelligence on the Efficiency of Enterprise Risk Management – An Applied Study on Industrial Organizations.”
This qualitative study explores how artificial intelligence technologies can be leveraged to enhance decision-making efficiency within industrial enterprises. It reflects a deep understanding of modern technological trends and their role in organizational risk management.
Dr. Haya joined Future Builders International Academy in 2023, under the supervision of the academy, which is the sole representative of the University of Maryland – USA in Egypt, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates. Throughout her research journey, she was academically supervised by Dr. Maha Fouad, Chairwoman of the Academy and a prominent Arab figure in supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, and scientific research.
Dr. Al-Gharras hails from the Qassim region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She previously served as Assistant for Training Affairs at the General Administration of Education in Qassim, a role that required a unique blend of administrative skills and educational experience to support the learning process. She also contributed as a lecturer at the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, participating in programs that promote dialogue, tolerance, and intellectual openness—values now considered pillars of social development in the Kingdom.
One of her most notable intellectual contributions was in 2015, when she delivered the seminar “Secure Minds”, addressing methods to confront ideological extremism. The initiative received special praise from His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim, who described the initiative as “a uniquely creative effort in both timing and content,” affirming its importance in safeguarding society from deviant ideologies.
Dr. Haya Al-Gharras stands as an inspiring role model for Arab women, successfully integrating academic excellence with community engagement and intellectual leadership. Her journey aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision for women’s empowerment and their active participation in sustainable development across various fields.
