Abstract:
The aim of this study is to utilize the nanotechnology in treating of ordinary Portland cement (OPC) with high free lime content up to 5% to produce high performance cement. in applying of this technology can lead to reduce the emission of CO2 as well as to decrease the energy consumed in the production clinker. Nano-metakaolin is used as partial replacement of (OPC) up to 15%. Hydration was carried out a various time intervals up to 90 days. Water of consistency, setting time, compressive strength, combined water and free lime contents were determined. Also, phase was investigated by XRD.
