A PARADIGM, SHIFT is a way of looking at something differently. We are stepping &#8220;outside the box. It&#8217;s a revolution, a transformation, a sort of metamorphosis. The shift. from Teacher Centered to Student Centered in education strategy . A shift. from An educational institution exists to provide instruction.to An educational institution exists to produce learning. A shift from traditional. teaching to Team Based Learning (TBL) . TBL is a teaching and learning strategy that was first implemented in business schools.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">TBL is a teacher-directed method that involves active collaborative and competitive learning, inviroment which promotes the application of knowledge through small group discussions without loosing the large group sprit in a single venue with a limited number of faculty present. This process includes both individual and group accountability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">It is of 3 phases<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Phase 1 Preparation (Pre-class)<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Phase 2 Readiness Assurance (In-class) Phase 3 Application of Course Concepts<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The advantage of this method is it Increase engagement Improve attendance, Improve performance specially poor ones, Increase faculty collaboration<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Can TBL be part of the solution package to medical\/higher education problems in Egypt?
