Pont, Annika Bande<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: center;\">Association of Egyptian-American Scholars<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong><u>Abstract:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The Intermolecular Coulomb Electron Capture (ICEC) process in a Quantum Dot (QD) pair allows an incoming electron to be captured by one Quantum Dot in an excited state while its Coulomb interaction with a bound electron from the neighbouring QD permits the captured electron to relax into the ground state by releasing the other electron into the continuum, thus reducing the energy of the QD pair.
